Is it Really Time for School?

As most of you know I graduated in May with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and received a job as a first grade teacher out at Freedom Elementary out in Hooper. Stop everything!!! I am actually going to be a teacher????? I really cannot believe that this day is close at hand. All my life I have dreamed about being a teacher and wondering what I would feel like to teach children. Now that the time is here I really don't know what to think, feel, or say for that matter. I am feeling so overwhelmed and bogged down with what is expected of me as a teacher.
It is just hitting me that I am going to be in charge of helping six and seven year old children how to ready and write. No big deal they really don't need these skill for the rest of their lives...right? Huge deal to be a first grade teacher. This is the first time that they are going to be away from mom for the whole day, they actually have to stay at school, there are no nap times, and they still might have accidents. Well Stephanie welcome to the life of teaching. Don't get me wrong I am excited to finally be in my career I just cannot believe that it is already here.
Many people have asked me if I have gotten my room put together and everything ready for my students to come back to school. Well let me show you what my room looks like...
Yep there it is empty and blank except for some desks. Need I remind myself that school starts in less than one month. From the looks of my room I realize now why teachers go back to school two weeks before the students do, so that they don't have an empty room.
Wish me luck, and pray for me!

The Love of My Life

My husband was telling me that I have never talked about him on my blog (I have only posted twice) and he complained that I put our nieces and nephews on before him. He stated that apparently I care more about our nieces and nephews than him.  Well I guess he has a point that I did post them before him but that does not mean that I love them more. My husband, Justin, is the best and there is no way that I could live without him. So I thought that I would dedicated this post to the love of my life.
Where do I ever begin to describe the man that I am married to? Justin is just absolutely amazing. He is smart, charming, funny, kind, lovable, happy, crazy, most importantly ridiculously good looking. Let me tell you this is just to name a few of his characteristics we could be here for hours but, I don't think that anyone would want to read that long of a post.
I cannot believe that Justin found me and asked me to be his wife for time and all eternity. The fact was I was not like all the girls that he dated before his mission. I was the type of girl that played it safe when it came to getting to know boys. We dated for about six months until I let him hold my hand. It took nine months until we kissed.  So we took it very slow. But within those nine months we became great friends and then built our relationship on our friendship. So I can honestly say that after almost two years of dating I married my best friend.
I hope that my husband appreciates this post about him. I will for sure keep everyone up to date about his life as a law student coming up pretty soon. Well...that is if I ever see him!
I love you babe and I am so proud of everything that you do!!!!!!!!

Our Nieces and Nephews

I have to say that my life would not be complete without all of our nieces and nephews. They are an absolute hoot. They definitely keep our lives interesting. Each of them have a personality all their own. I throughly enjoy the fact that they are each other's best friends.
When my first niece was born I was 12 years old, so basically they are all that I know.  Then once Justin came into the picture it was all over from there. They latched on to him like he has always been apart of their lives.
When our nieces and nephews have birthdays that means that they get to have a sleep-over with Justin and Stessie. But it is not just any sleep-over they get to choose where they go for dinner (which usually means that we go to McDonalds a lot), they get to choose any treat that they want from the store, and they get to sleep in the love sac in our room. Could it get any better? I love this tradition that Justin and I have started. If you ask them what their parents got them for their birthdays last year they cannot remember. But if you ask them what they did with Justin and Stessie they can retell the whole night to you.
We love all of you!!!!!!!!

I Finally Have a Blog!!!!

Thanks to the girls at work I have finally made it into the world of blogging. I swear that all I have done lately at work is look at everyone's blog and wish that I had one of my own.
My question is who even came up with the idea of (and for that matter the word) blogging? All I know is that this is going to be my outlet once Justin is fully engulfed in Law School. A girl needs some type of hobby to occupy her time when her husband is away.
So starts my life of blogging...........
